This Policy explains what Sought Creative currently collects and why. It covers the directory, creator accounts, listings, images, customer requests, and paid listing memberships. It should be reviewed by a qualified attorney as the Platform grows or adds marketplace transactions.
1. Who is responsible for your information
Sought Creative is operated by Alabaster Photos, LLC, a Wisconsin limited liability company (“Sought Creative,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy applies to information collected through the Sought Creative website, creator dashboard, directory, forms, and related services (the “Platform”).
Questions or privacy requests may be sent to mandie@alabasterphotos.com.
2. Information we collect
Account information. When you sign in, we may receive your name and email address from the sign-in service so we can identify your account and protect creator and administrative features.
Creator and listing information. Providers may submit a business name, category, location, service area, pricing, availability, biography, specialties, website, listing descriptions, and photographs or other images.
Requests and interest forms. When you ask Sought & Found for help or join an interest list, we collect the information you submit, such as your name, email, location, category, timeline, budget, project details, role, and website.
Membership and payment information. We may keep your membership plan, billing interval, status, and activation dates. Stripe processes checkout and payment information. We do not receive or store your complete card number on the Platform.
Technical information. Our hosting, security, authentication, and payment providers may automatically process information such as an IP address, browser or device type, request timestamps, pages requested, cookie or session identifiers, and diagnostic or security data.
Communications. We collect the information you include when you contact us, request support, ask to cancel, or respond to a listing review.
3. How we use information
We use information to operate and secure the Platform; create and manage accounts; review, publish, and maintain listings; display approved provider information; connect customer requests with potentially relevant providers; manage memberships; provide support; communicate about submissions or billing; prevent misuse; comply with law; and understand or improve how the Platform works.
We may also send service-related messages, such as listing review decisions, membership notices, security notices, or important policy changes. Where required, promotional messages will be sent only with appropriate permission, and you may opt out of them.
4. What becomes public
Approved creator profiles and offer listings are meant to be public. Information shown in a public listing may include the business name, category, general location and service area, pricing, availability, biography or description, specialties, website, and submitted listing images.
Do not include private home addresses, personal phone numbers, sensitive documents, payment details, or information about another person unless you have permission and want it displayed publicly. Your account email is not made public merely because it is used to manage a listing, unless you separately include it in public listing content.
5. When we share information
With relevant providers. If you give permission through a customer request form, we may share the request and your contact information with providers who may be able to help. Those providers are independently responsible for how they handle information after receiving it.
With service providers. We use companies that support hosting, data storage, authentication, security, and payment processing. They may process information only as needed to provide those services or meet their legal obligations.
For legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or legal process; protect the rights, safety, or property of users or others; investigate fraud or misuse; or enforce our agreements.
During a business change. Information may be transferred as part of a merger, financing, reorganization, sale, or transfer of some or all of the Platform, subject to applicable law.
We do not currently sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
6. Payments and third-party services
Paid memberships currently use Stripe-hosted checkout. Stripe receives and processes payment and related billing information under its own privacy policy. Links to provider websites, social accounts, maps, and other third-party services are also governed by those services’ privacy practices, not this Policy.
7. Cookies and similar technology
The Platform and its service providers may use cookies, headers, or similar technology needed for sign-in, session continuity, security, fraud prevention, payment checkout, and core site operation. Browser settings may allow you to block or remove cookies, but doing so can prevent sign-in or other Platform features from working properly.
We do not currently use personal information for targeted advertising on the Platform. If that changes, this Policy and any required choices or notices will be updated first.
8. How long we keep information
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Platform, keep accurate business and payment records, maintain security, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal obligations. Retention periods vary by the type of information and why it was collected.
Public listings may remain visible until paused, removed, or no longer approved. Some information may remain in backups, transaction records, fraud-prevention records, or legal records after an account or listing is removed.
9. Your choices and requests
You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information we maintain about you, or ask us to remove a public listing, by emailing mandie@alabasterphotos.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
We may retain information when required for legal, security, payment, recordkeeping, or dispute purposes. Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for making a privacy request.
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. However, no website, storage system, or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure. Please use care when choosing what to submit, especially in public listing fields and customer request details.
11. Children’s privacy
The Platform is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, contact us so we can review and, where appropriate, delete it.
Providers should not upload identifiable images of children unless they have all necessary permission from a parent or legal guardian and the right to use those images publicly.
12. United States operation
Sought Creative is operated in the United States. If you access the Platform from another country, your information may be processed and stored in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those where you live.
13. Future marketplace features
If Sought Creative later adds booking, provider payouts, shipping, customer reviews, messaging, identity checks, or transaction processing, we may need to collect and share additional information. We will update this Policy and provide any required notices before those features launch.
14. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy as the Platform, our service providers, or legal requirements change. The updated date will appear at the top. If a change materially affects how we use personal information, we will provide reasonable notice through the Platform or the email associated with your account where appropriate.
